| | BMETs across the country and around the world rely on test equipment to
help them verify the accuracy of a multitude of medical and
patient care equipment that they are responsible for evaluating, maintaining and
repairing.
I am fortunate to have what I believe, is an adequate and diversified amount of
test equipment in our shop to take care of the equipment we are responsible for.
The pictures I have put
together, do not constitute my endorsement of the equipment manufacturers by me
on this website. Also, it does not begin to show all the equipment we have in
this shop at this time, or what we may purchase in the future. The pictures
are merely a way of conveying to the general lay person what is used by some, to
do this thing I call Biomedical Engineering. The prices shown next to some
equipment and accessories, are merely prices I found attached to the
pictures. I am not selling any of this equipment or accessories.

Biomedical shops routinely send their test equipment out for
calibration. Here are some choices of vendors.
- Facility Departments
This will take
you on a tour of
some of the departments you
will routinely find BMETs
working in. It may
be
to maintain bedside monitoring
in
an ICU,CCU, TELE or general
medsurg wing, or mechanical
adjustments to Physical Therapy
equipment, calibration of
Cardiopulmonary devices, or
monitoring the flow of hoods in
the Pharmacy. There
is work in
virtually every
department for a
